16 Personalities Test

I received the ISTJ-T (Logistician) type after completing the 16 Personalities test. The majority of the description made sense to me when I read it. The parts about being practical, organized, and someone who like having things under control connected with resonated with me. It seemed right because I've always been the type of person who likes to plan ahead and dislikes surprises. I also understood the bit about being reliable; I want to complete tasks correctly and keep my word.

However, there were also some things that caused me to reflect a little more. For example, it said my type might finds it difficult to be too rigid or unadaptable. That is definitely true of me; I become uncomfortable when things don't go as planned or when I have to make a last-minute change in plan. Since life (and work) don't always go as planned, it's something I'd like to get better at.

Emotions were another topic that resonated. I'm more of a logical person, sometimes I struggle to communicate my feelings or react to the emotions of others in the moment. Though I understand that not everyone sees that the same way, I usually prefer to demonstrate my feelings with actions rather than words. I may be able to connect with people more effectively if I learn to be more emotionally open.

Goal 1: Become more adaptable and open to new approaches in creative and technical work

I prefer structure and well-defined ideas, so I sometimes struggle when a project takes a different turn or I have to use an entirely new technique or tool. Things change frequently in media design; new tools, trends, or feedback can quickly change a project. My goal is to become flexible and open to change in both my technical and artistic workflows.

To do this, I want to get more comfortable with trying different ways of working, even if they don’t go exactly as planned. That could mean experimenting with new design styles, testing unfamiliar software, or being more open to last-minute feedback and collaboration. I want to focus less on “doing it the right way” and more on learning through the process.

Goal 2: Work better in a team and learn to trust others with shared tasks

Because I like to make sure everything is done perfectly, I sometimes find it difficult to let others do certain parts of a project. Still, collaboration is crucial in media design and development; projects are stronger when everyone contributes their unique thoughts and skills.

My goal is to become more comfortable sharing responsibilities and to have confidence in my teammates' ability to complete their contributions. Rather than attempting to control every little aspect, I want to concentrate more on how we can combine our skills. In this way, I can also get knowledge from other approaches to work while improving my group communication skills.

Goal 3: Improve emotional expression and communication within teamwork

I'm usually more task-oriented and logical than emotional. Sometimes, when working on group projects, I'm so focused on finishing the task at hand that I forget to communicate my feelings or check in with people emotionally. My aim is to become a better communicator and build relationships with peers by being more understanding and open in as well as sharing my progress.

This can help me build better collaboration, especially when people have different working styles or creative opinions. I want to help with the development of a more positive and trustworthy team environment by practicing active listening, giving constructive and kind comments, and demonstrating appreciation.
